I have a bathtub thats on a concrete slab, now I know absolutely 0 about plumbing. A couple weeks ago the water began to drain a little slower than usual, it was a mild inconvenience so I though nothing of the problem. As the nights went by the drain moved slower and slower until finally one night it took like 4 hours to drain the tub. The next time the tub was used it took almost 17 hours to drain completely, all the other plumbing in the house works just fine, including the other bathtub. Could this be a vent problem? I have tried liquid plumber and when that didnt work tried the snake, from both the garbage disposal direction and the bathtub itself. Neither fixed the issue, please help.

The liquid plumber was unlikelyto help. Most snakes are too small and probably short to fix the likely clog you have in the drain. I don't think a vent problem is what you have. An incorrectly vented or clogged vent wouldn't prevent it from draining, but in the process would suck water out of nearby traps. My unprofessional opinion.

Your snake was either too small in diameter, too short in length, or you didnt have the experience necessary to do the job correctly or any combination of the three. You need to call in a professional with the tools and experience to clear the clog.

Good luck

Caustic drain cleaners will usually flow right past anything but a complete clog and do no good.
You can try a good enzyme-based drain cleaner like DrainCare. It won't harm the fixture or drain pipe, will cling to the clog and eat out all organic matter (gunk, hair, etc.) overnight. Then you just flush it all down with very hot water. If it's really clogged it may take more than one application.
Give that a try first (just follow the directions on the jug).
Good Luck!

The simple answer is you have a clogged drain and you should call a plumber to properly auger the drain. Caustic cleaners seldom work and creat possible hazzards for a plumber. Tell him/her what chemicals you used, how much, and when. The natural enzymes are not dangerous, but may or may not work. DIY snakes are frequently inadaquate unless the clog is relatively small. Even then, you may just push it deeper and not clear it.
