Hi Everyone,

I have a 1 inch three way valve (part no. 259-02071 - it is a globe valve). I want to use it in a hydronic application with 1 inch piping (primary circuit) to change the routing of the water from one circuit to another (act as a diverting valve). The Cv on this valve is 10.

My question is: By looking at the valve, it appears it would restrict the water flow quite a bit. Is this a cause for concern? How much would it restrict the water flow?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
