Have a customer with a Kohler toilet, complaining about the diminished bowl refill. I replaced the fill valve with a fluidmaster with no improvement. Realizing that the fixture takes a Kohler version of the fluidmaster, I replace that. Some improvement. The bowl starts to refill, but the water level in the tank runs over before the bowl fills to its intended level. They have two other identical toilets in the house that I can compare it to.

Anybody got a fix for me?

Korky makes one version that has a little in-line valve to balance the bowl/tank refill ratios. That may resolve your problem. To determine how high the bowl level can be, slowly pour water into the bowl, then let it sit to stabilize. That should be the normal fill level, and you should strive to make the tank/bowl refill ratio make that happen for best performance. If you pour water into the bowl too fast, it will eventually create a siphon and flush. That won't happen if you go slowly, as it will just dribble over the weir and down the drain, not flowing fast enough to start a flush.

Both Korky and Fluidmaster make fill valves that allow adjustment of the bowl refill.
The Korky is a MaxPerformance and the Fluidmaster is a PerformanceMax.
They cost a bit more than their standard products.

I've been humiliated twice by Fluidmaster, so maybe it's time to try a Korky.

Thanks for the replies, fellas.
