I have a leaky Moen tub spout/diverter. There is no set screw underneath. I can see that it is copper pipe going into the spout. Is this soldered to a threaded galvanized nipple inside the spout? I have tried to turn the spout, but the copper pipe begins to twist. Any thoughts are appreciated... Thanks!

It must be threaded, but if the copper is twisting, then you may have to cut the spout apart until you can get to the threaded connection and hold it while removing the remainder of the spout.

Hey, wait a minute.
