GE Silicone II KB has a 10 year mold protection guarantee. Polyseamseal has a caulk with a 5 year mold protection guarantee. Does anyone have any recommendations for or against these products [or others]? I'm re-grouting and re-caulking a shower. Thanks.

In the shower for corners and at the bottom, and for doors, Silicone.
For the shower valve or tub spout, you can use the water based Polyseamseal.

does it matter if the wall is tile as well? i understand that caulk, all things being the same, will adhere better to tile than will silicone.
