Shower panel question?

I want a shower panel in my new shower. Can anyone give me any info on shower panels or shower columns? What is the best brand or is there a best brand? I don't know of too many people around where I live that have them but I live in a town where everyone is in the dark ages.
Here are two that look really nice. I don't know if they good quality or not so could anyone give me any leads if these are not good. Thanks.

The only ones I have installed were owner supplied and they were the Grohe sold by Home Depot. Installation was somewhat easy, and I assume they are happy with the operation of the units.

Hans Grohe makes a unit similar to the Grohe.
