It seems that my shower drain pipe is separating from the sewer line. I have been noticing the baseboard next to it getting damp at the bottom and an investigation led me to this conclusion. What is the easiest way to fix this? Please don't tell me to break my 1 year old shower pan.

If the problem is as you expect, adding water with a hose to the drain would cause the leakage that you see.

Actually if I run water through a hose there is no leak as it doesn't get into the gap. When water flows along the wall of the pipe some of flows into the gap.
