I'm getting ready to redo my basement and wondering if I should change out some of the copper lines for pex. House was built in 2004. Picture attached. Thanks.

Wipe the white and green off with a wet cloth.

Don't change the pipes unless you find a leak or you find that your water has pH less than 6.5.

Copper is still the best choice for water lines. Pex works well for replacing galvanized pipes that are in walls.
