Hello again,

We're remodeling a second floor bathroom with 60s copper/iron plumbing that's in good shape. We'd like to swap bathtub and sink locations and are not sure of the correct way to handle the drains. I'm thinking that cutting off the 90* elbow and replacing it with a T would work, but not sure of any code or functional problems that might result. Existing drain is 2" copper into the stack.

Hopefully the picture explains it better than words.

Thank you,
Steve

The lav drain can cut in above the floor on the toilet vent.
The tub drain was never correct. The vent should he higher than the trap arm, not below it.

Thank you for your help. Does this drawing change anything; or do we still need to rethink the design?
