I currently have a bathroom in my home that uses a sewage pump which has a 2" line to the septic tank. I am building a outdoor work shop with a bathroom which I will need a sewage pump as well due to the distance to the septic tank. My question is can I connect the second pump discharge line to the existing line to eliminate hassle of digging another long trench and connecting another line to the septic tank?

"Distance" to the septic tank is NOT an issue. THE relative elevations of the septic tank inlet and your shop plumbing, along with the necessary slope will determine whether you need a pump or not.

I suspect you are asking about intercepting that line underground and adding a 2-inch wye underground to add in the effluent from new vented pit and pump servicing the new shop. For sure you will need a pump to feed toilet output into a 2 inch line. I trust there is another bigger line to the septic pit that provides venting to the pit from the vent through the roof of the house.
