septic to sewer

I'm going from septic to sewer. Need to know the pitch needed for the line going to the lateral. The distance from the outlet to the lateral is about 45'.

As long as the street pipe is at least a foot lower than the house pipe, you will have enough pitch. Just run directly from the house to the city's pipe.

Drains require at least 1/4" per foot to drain properly. As HJ says, if you have a foot fall over 45 feet, you'll be fine. :)
