We have some unfinished space in our basement and want to add a second laundry room. There are two existing plumbing situations from the main floor. One is under the main floor laundry room which has a washer and laundry sink. The second is the main floor kitchen with a sink and typical dishwasher set-up.
The drain for both of these are 2", running from the main floor to below the basement floor. The only difference is the kitchen one takes a slight jog, I assume due to a window over the kitchen sink.
Would one of these work for adding the washer drain? We had planned to add a kitchenette under the main floor kitchen, so we would want a sink there also. No sink needed in the basement if we go with under the laundry room.
Choice 1: main floor laundry with washer and sink, 2" drain straight down into basement floor, adding 1 washer in the basement.
Choice 2: main floor kitchen with sink/dishwasher, 2" drain with jog then down into basement floor, adding 1 washer and 1 sink in the basement.

Concerned mostly about venting and drain sizing, not supply or dryer vents (those are easy).
Thanks!
