We recently had a sanipro toilet installed in a new bathroom we added to our condo on the 8th floor. Do we need to install some type of automatic water cutoff in the event that power is cut or electricity is off. We do no want anyone trying to use the shower or toilet with no electricity (no maceration) because of potential backups?

It would be strange to have a pump for sewage when you are on the 8th floor. You sure you have one?

yes...we have a macerator...

we turned a large closet into a third bath....all waste from the toilet, shower, and sink pass through the sanipro macerator before draining into the sewer pipe of another bathroom...
