There are plenty of auto salvage yards but are there salvage yards for home supplies? Anyone know of a website that lists them? I got the idea after watching people salvaging things out of a few houses being demoed in my area.

    Thanks!

  4. Habitat for Humanity has started taking an interest in unused surplus supplies. I don't know of any organized effort to reuse used stuff.

There is a pretty good site for recycling. It works by emails, you can digest them, if need be. Check it out:

    I think this would work:
    www.freecycle@yahoogroups.com

It that link doesn't work, check around yahoo. You can post wanted ads, or offer/post things, in just your area.

I really think it is a great service. I tell people all the time about it. :)

Check in your area for the local Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. I've gotten some amazing deals here in SW Michigan.
