Rheem, model 22v40F1, 3 years old.
Pilot would not stay lit so I picked up the Rheem thermocouple kit, installed it and pilot lit fine and the main burner.
Next morning pilot was out and I relit it.
Today pilot was out, I lit it and main burner came on. I was in the basement for maybe 20 minutes and the burner was fine.
Checked it about an hour later and pilot was out. Tried to relight and the pilot would not stay lit.
I'm guessing I have a bad gas control valve.
It is the plastic one mentioned in another post.
Is the gas valve available separately?
Is it covered under warranty?
Anyone have the part number for it?
thx
