Hey forum folks, here is my dilema. I want to change the the bathtub spout because the diverter is currently not working at all. (Actually I want the diverter to work and was told I need to change the whole spout).

The problem is I can't get the spout unscrewed. It is on very tight and I can't seem to get sufficient leverage to unsrew it. I tried using a monkey wrench around the spout and I only succeeded in making dents in the spout without getting it to budge.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Look on the underside of the spout to see if there is a set screw, back near the wall. If so, loosen it and pull off.

Hey, wait a minute.
