Removing set screw bath faucet

I recently bought a house and the tile around bath tub is to say the least falling off. We are putting in a bath surround wall. I am trying to get the faucet off. i removed the set screw from the faucet but it still won't come off. What do I do now??

If they used a lot of sealant at the tub wall, you have to cut that first. Usually, with a setscrew, it is a push-on spout, and once you have loosened the screw and released it from the sealant, it just pulls off.

You should be able to wiggle it and pull if off. If it will not come off you could use a handle puller.
They are sold at most hardware or auto parts stores.

What are YOU calling the "faucet"? The faucet is the part with the handle(s) that you turn the water on on off.
