Red PEX beware (hot)

Anyone using the red PEX. Note it hardens over time and will leak. the crimp will fail. Not sure it its the heat or what but it will fail

Either you are running extremely hot water through it or you have defective tubing. Red PEX is just a coloring, the material is the same as the blue and white PEX.

Was it exposed to UV light from the sun?
PEX cannot be left exposed to sunlight the UV rays weaken it.
The PEX is printed with the manufacturer info on it, and its temperature/pressure ratings, and if it is NSF and IAMPO listed.
What does your PEX tubing say printed on it?
Is it potable water NSF listed PEX?
Is it oxygen barrier type PEX for radiant heating use, not listed for potable water?

Most PEX is temp limited to 180-degrees or maybe 200 F. And, as said, it is not designed for direct sun exposure.
