I have been given a quote with the Quietside dual purpose water heater DPW 099A to replace our heat/hot water tank in a condo. The quote for the unit and to install it which includes a new coil and drain plan is $4,500-5,000 US.

Two questions:
Is this a good product?
Is this a reasonable price for what I'm getting? I've seen the unit for sale online for about $1000 US.

Part of my hesitation is that I live in Canada and Quietside has limited business in Canada. Concerned that servicing could be a problem.

If I lived in the freezing north of Canada, I don't think I would rely on a inexpensive "throw-away" combi boiler made in Korea.

And yes service and parts will be a big issue.

IMO.

Hey, wait a minute.
