Hi all,

So, I just had a Gas Purefire 140 installed with water baseboard heat. I have 2 zones in the house. There is this nifty boost function. If the house is not heating up quick enough, it boosts the setpoint x degrees in y minutes. If in Y minutes, it is still not hot enough it again boosts etc. The problem I have is when the boost causes the boiler to get to max. In my case, that is 195. The boiler gets to 195 and sometimes goes above. When it does and goes to 200, the boiler does a setpoint purge and then calls for heat again which causes it to go again to 195. Unfortunately, it goes again to 200 and purges etc. I can stop this by eliminating the boost. However, doing that can create a very very long time to heat the house. Any ideas?

Thanks very much.

Turn down max boiler temp to say 188 and then it does not cycle. Kind of a specific question, but if someone has a Purefire, you might experience the same thing.
