I have a very small propane leak between the gas pipe and my oven. A Bosch specialist found the leak which is either between the flex line and the connector fitting, or the connector fitting and the gas regulator on the oven. There was a leak at the other end of the flex line previously--where the gas pipe enters the house, so I replaced both connectors--from the pipe and the one to the oven--and put on a new flex pipe. I used pipe dope on both connectors, but, as per instructions, not on the threads of flange end where the flex line screws on. Is it possible that I overtightened these pipes? Again, it is a very small leak, undetectable with soapy water. I can't imagine what else I can do?

Use children's bubble solution instead of soap. It will "stick" the connections longer and show even a very minute leak. But, I DO apply pipe dope to the flare joint the flex connects to.
