I have propane (100# tank) that runs my fireplace only and have seen RV's use an auto changeover regulator to attach two 100# tanks so service isn't interrupted, can I set up my house the same way? I would like to add another tank to make life easy when its time to refill the tank. Also would I be able to use (legally) LPG rubber hoses to connect the tanks to the regulator (as done on RV's)? I know rubber deteriates but I figure I would be inspecting it every time I refill the bottle(s) and before every season.

    Thanks in advance

They usually come as a unit with the changeover valve and two "pigtails" to attach to the tanks.

Can these units be used on a house or are they just for RVs? Are the rubber "pigtails" an approved way to connect to a rigid house supy line?

    Thanks again
