Problem with 3†flapper

I just purchased a Pegasus 1.6 GPF toilet from Home Depot, I didn’t want to spend more money for Toto since in a year I will be remodeling my bathroom. I found those problems:

1.The flapper is 3†and closes before the toilet is finished flushing. If I hold
the handle down when I flush a few extra seconds it flushes fine.
2. Very noisy flushing system
3. Water in the bowl is low?

I was looking to buy universal 3†(nowhere to fine) flapper and low noise flushing system. Please help me to address my concerns above.

Thank you

Try adjusting the linkage on the flapper/handle connection by creating more slack in the chain.

As for the noise and the low water in bowl, that's pretty much a design flaw. Although some people would probably disagree.

Noise is kind of an ear of the listener type of thing.

Some will say loud, and some quiet.

The tank is not designed to be emptied during a flush.
The goal is to drop about 1.6 gallons, not 3.0 gallons.

As for shallow bowl, you won't find a really deep bowl among newer bowls.

I do know what you mean by shallow though.
I've seen some that are too shallow if you know what I mean.

Can you send some digital pictues of what you are talking about?

Terry, what I meant, after flushing fill valve is very laud in a process of filling a tank. As far as my concern with flapper, your replay makes sense, I will send a digital picture of the bowl

If you want a quieter refill, replace the fill valve with the Korky Quietfill.
You can find them at Lowes.
