I am wondering if there is a trick to keep a toilet (wax ring) from dripping for a pressure test. I am in a remodel and this toilet isn't part of the remodel but is in the plumbing area for a pressure test. I have reset the toilet twice and still get drips. Do I need to pull the toilet and install a plug for the test? Seems a bit over the top... Help!

If you are in fact required to do a pressure test for the toilet, then yes. Pull the toilet and plug it off. There is no way a wax seal will hold that kind of pressure.

Sometimes in a home that occupied, you can get by with a "running" test.

Hey, wait a minute.
