I bought one of these --

and the dimwit cashier at Lowes managed to lose the pressure relief valve that was included with it.

I'm using this harbor freight shallow well pump and a water tank to supply water to just a couple of faucets --

Based on my setup can anyone please tell me a pressure relief valve that would work with the water heater?

THANKS so much. It was a small part with a brass male thread that obviously fit on the hot water outlet.

Go back to Lowes and tell them it was missing. I'd bet a dollar they will take care of it.

That pump cannot produce enough pressure to need a separate pressure relief valve.

The temperature and pressure relief valve for the WH comes with the WH.

yes -- I know it comes with the water heater -- I misplaced it. I had some copper fittings to buy at Lowes and like you do sometimes, put the valve in there because I wanted to take it with me.

so rather than her asking "is this yours'? she was so **^#ing stupid I know she just "did something with it".

but it doesn't stop there -- she also forgot to give me another bag I purchased and I had to go back to the store. and get this, she didn't charge me for a $50 folding table I bought -- just walked out with it. complete dumb ass. (will take the table as compensation).

I wasn't sure but I felt that pump didn't create enough pressure so that's great. guess I can just live without the valve then. the HF does the job though -- just hooked up the system and it kicks ass. pretty quiet also.

what kind of pressure would require me to use a relief valve on that Atmor water heater? just curious.

Domestic water supplies should not exceed 80psi.

The T&P safety valve for the WH is a fairly standard repair part, so you should be able to buy one if you can't get them to give you one.
