My daughter's irrigation water is supplied by the city, but their irrigation lines are too small for the use they are given. The old galvanized pipe in the yard has reached the end of its life and I want her to replace it with PVC. It will amount to about 140 feet of line with 3 or 4 hose bibs, only one or two would be used at any one time. I want to use 1" pipe reduced to 3/4" at the bibs. Her neighbor thinks 3/4" would be better. Obviously, there will be only a slight difference in material cost. I'm looking for support for my point of view, but I'll value any suggestions.
