Does anyone have any tips for removing the lead and pipe inside a broken bell joint? It is a drain pipe. The bell joint is mainly in the floor of the basement, and I don't really want to break the floor apart and cut the bell out.

Thanks
dave

Dave,

Use a drill bit just slightly smaller than the space between the bell and the spigot - don't wanna crack the cast iron, and fill the lead full of holes. Then dig out the stuff left with a screwdriver.
