Old, old Toro rotor

    This is purely for nostalgia purposes - but does anyone remember an old (1960s era, I think) Toro residential head that I remember seeing when I was growing up? As I recall, it only popped up an inch or two, did not have a retraction spring, but did have a fairly sizable black plastic collar or flange that apparently was designed to keep the grass far enough away from the head to keep the grass from interfering with the spray.

    I have Googled this to death but haven't found anything like this on the web.

    It was probably a brass head, and the flange was often a "snap on" addition purchased separately.
