Hello everyone, This is my first post also.
I have Noritz model N-069M. The tankless heater has worked well for a few years but recently it starts right up as it should but after a couple of minutes the water begins to get cooler, then cold. After turning the water off completely and restarting, the water will be warm for a while, then get cold again.
The remote panel shows no faults and I have cleaned the filter.
    Any comments will be welcome.

Since there are no replies I wonder if:
    1. It's time to think about a new heater
    2. The solution is in another post and I didn't notice it
    3. The problem is so unusual that no one has an idea about how to remedy it
    Any ideas out there?

Have you called the local Noritz distributor for technical help or recomended installers for de-bugging it?

It's unusual to have this sort of behavior without spitting a code, but it doesn't sound like an unresolvable problem. Unless the thing is approaching 2 decades of service it will probably be worth fixing even if you have to pay a tech to do it.

Thanks for the help. I have not called anyone yet. I think the unit is less than ten years old so it should have lots of life left. It is in a home where we do not live full time but will someday return to. It gets used maybe 20 times a year but it should function properly.

I agree that it should function properly, given the limited number of burner-hours you have on it- yours is barely broken in!

Most Noritz water heaters DO function properly- they have one of the best reputations for reliability in the industry.

We had the same problem and have solved it with a yearly 45 minute white vinegar flush - there are many web sites explaining how to do it.

Do you want a used one or a new one?

Either, but manufactured as close to 2004 would be great. It just really has to be that very same model number.

I did forget to mention that it must be a single vent LP gas powered water heater, which I am assuming is reflected by the model number, but not sure. --Thanks!
