Ok Another issue with me replacing my pressure vacuum breaker .There is a very small leak in the copper female fitting in the supply line out of the house. When I was messing with the old PVC line the original male PVC fitting broke off in the copper female fitting.
In removing it I managed to damage the first two outer threads of the copper fitting so I assume that is the cause of this small leak. I used teflon joint compound hoping tha might provide enough seal but it is not. Is there anything I can use to sort of patch those 2 threads so I don't have to desolder the fitting?
I am learning to appreciate professionals more and more.
