I'm trying to install an American Standard cadet. After hooking everything up and turning on the water, the tank fills up fine. Then, when I flush, water comes pouring out the little vent hole on the back of the bowl. I can't figure it out.

Thanks.

That's it. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll take it back.

Out of curiousity, does it mean that there's a crack? Manufacturing flaw?

I would think flaw.

I've seen the hole before, but no water ever came out of it.

If water wasn't coming out to let you know, it would have been an air leak, allowing smells into the room.
At least you know to change it.
