we have a 240 ft well with a submersible pump which pumps ~ 8 gpm. For water conditioning I have a 30 micron WH filter to remove sand and grit, a soda ash/ chlorine injector for PH and finally a 5 micron carbon WH filter to remove the chlorine. All this has worked well except for the pressure drop after the filters make for low water pressure especially upstairs. The pressure switch is a typical 40-60 psi setup with the bladder tank inline before the carbon filter, which neither cannot easily be moved.
Is there a simple way to increase the effective pressure after the filter?

Turn the pressure switch up to 50/70, or even 60/80 if the pump will still shut off at 80.
Thanks, I was wondering if there was a better pressure switch then the Square D Pumptrol switch. I tried this before but the "cut in"/ "cut out" points were rather inconsistent. The switch is about three years old, so is it time to replace it?

Start with a 40/60 switch and never mess with the little adjustment screw. A 40/60 will turn up to about 55/75 max. If you need more than that you will need to switch from the FSG2 switch to a GHG2 switch.

Square D's fail at the same rate as a Merrill or Boshart switch. In my opinion, they are all junk compared to the switches of 20 yrs ago
