I need to put an exhaust fan in one of our 2nd floor full bathrooms (9' x 5'). I'd like it to be quiet and was looking at the Broan QTXE080 (https://www.broan-nutone.com/en-us/product/ventilationfans/qtxe080). Since we live in northern DE and get below freezing temps in the winter, I've read that roof venting is a bad idea, therefore I was going to run the ducting across the attic to the gable side. That's about a 16' run but the joists run parallel to the gables so I would have to do a 90* bend up to clear the joists and then a 90* left towards the gable. Will this be a problem and is this particular model going to be powerful enough with those two bends to still do the job? Should I be looking at something else?

You should be able to read the installation instructions online. They should give you that information. Personally, I’ve had good luck with Panasonic fans. They can accept both four and six inch ducts. The larger, the less restrictive and the further you can push the air. It also makes it even quieter.
