It took 40 to get one man!

They are not as good as the British special forces by any means.

Our SAS and Royal Marines Commandos are simply the best in the world.

But strength in numbers clearly works. I like the American approach. Let's send in the Special Forces, 40 of them!

Can't be that hard to join if they're being sent in in the 40s!!!! Ha!

    Hello all,

Ian You say "It took 40 to get one man!"

Are you talking 40 Billion Dollars ?

No one else had the balls to even try.

We wasted a lot of money and troops, Just to get the job done.

Only 1 Man did the job. It was not the pres. it was the trigger puller.

Our troops look out for each other, and always have backups.

I do not think that it is correct to Celebrate anyone's death, or killing.

    Enjoy Your Evening.

  3. you are a hoot IAN

The british cant even bomb kadafi and take him out from the air
without having a dud bomb and totally missing the target but killing off everyone around him.....

and you complain about a mission 500 miles into the mountains
of Pakastan to kill this guy????

you ought to stick to gossip about something you are more
able to comprehend .......like gossip about the royal wedding

Like what kind of underwear did the pricce wear on his wedding day ???

    They did a great job.

But they would do because there was forty of them!

    Hardly an elite force.

Don't get me wrong, but we'd have had the same result if I had muscled up twenty of you rag tag guys on this forum.

    40 navy seals!

Pah! What were the other 39 doing?

    Are they union by chance?

    Dude,
You are trying to stir the pot on this?
The entire thing has gone on for so long, so much time and money spent after 9/11
3 trillion dollars spent on the Iraq war
1 or 2 trillion on Afghanistan.
The Soviet Union went bankrupt fighting this guy, and now the US is in very deep debt. It seems the response has drained the economy pretty badly.
But that was done a long time ago, Pretty much one incident and he has us changing our way of life after that. I would say the biggest hurt was how much energy we put into responding to it. And that's what he wanted.
Anytime you get into a fight, both parties lose. I remember talking to a guy that had false teeth and an obviously broken nose. He got all of that in one fist fight. I asked who won? He said that he did. You sure couldn't tell by looking.
I don't think I would have wanted to be one of the forty that were dropped within the courtyard of the building looking for heavens knows what.
But I know from your previous posts, that if the English had done it, they would have used their fists. A few black eyes and that would have been that.
I just hope at some point in time, that some of this can be put in the past. The world is getting smaller, and the need to get along greater.

    OK.

But we don't need to see a photograph.

You guys are better than that.

The British are better than that, that is for sure.

If the Brits had any balls, they would still hold Pakistan and not have the blood on their hands of the genocidal massacre they caused in their idiotic removal from India.

Cut and run, then let the Americans fix the result of their stupidity - a Brit created safe harbor for international criminals.

"God save the Queen" because she has got a lot of time to burn in hell with the others that screwed up the earth before her.
  13. its all Colonialism

The brits enslaved half the world back in the 1700s and kept hold on it all till they simply were stretched too thin........

they still basically have kept most of the wealth that they stole from the rest of the planet , because they have talked others into doing a lot of their fighting for them .....

of course once you are through with something you dump it like a hot potato and let others clean up the mess years later..... that is the best way to keep the money in your pocket....

make the colonial states you cant dominate any longer into "british common-wealth" so when
you get into trouble you can get them to bail you out.....

Ian, Saturday's Wall Street Journal had an interesting article about the decline and fall of the British military. Let us know your thoughts after you read it. And why is the Queen going to Ireland?

I'll take the military route any time compared to the navy. Based on experience, military boarding schools are really fun. The extra-curricula activities such as sports and the arts will be freely available and with a greater number and scope of options. There is a chance for an all-round education at a military school.
