Need help reconnecting grill to natural gas line. Purchased home over the winter with built in grill - I think the previous owner disconnected the grill for the winter and need help reconnecting.

The gas line under the grill has a shut off valve and then the line goes into a regulator with a gauge. There is then a Schrader valve from the regulator (maybe 1/8 in).

The hose from the grill has a hose that ends with a 3/4 in female threaded end (similar to the end of a garden hose).

Any ideas on how to connect the grill hose to the schrader valve from the regulator?

Thanks in advance.

The gauge is not a regulator, it is a test gauge to facilitate a pressure test of the gas line. Natural gas connections should be left to a licensed plumber. WHO KNOWS what the previous owner/plumber/handyman did to that line or if the line is even sound. Looks like the nipple off of the valve is black iron, not galvanized. And that gas flex looks pretty beat up. You don't want to have a problem with a gas leak and hurt yourself or someone else. Sometimes your gas company will look over a gas appliance for free to make sure it is safe to use. But in all seriousness, highly consider hiring someone who knows what they are doing.

Good advice. Thanks - thought it might be an easy connection.
