I'm looking into buying a new tub, maybe keeping the old. Currently our tub is 30" and I've found a great tub but its 32". How difficult would it be to move a tub/shower drain 2 inches? The bathroom is on the second floor so its not in concrete but not sure on how expensive it would be to move everything over!

Even if you used a 30" tube changes are the drain would have to be relocated. It's not that hard to do for a qualified plumber.

The drain for a 32" tub is in "almost" the same location as a 30" one. The extra 2" is in the tub rim which does not move the drain in the tub, but ever if it is centered in the 32" tub, that only moves it 1".
