I put a new cartridge in a Moen single handle kitchen faucet today. I turned the cold water shutoff back on, an every thing was just fine. When I turned the hot water shutoff back on, hot water came out of the faucet, in ever position of the handle (hot or cold) and the faucet would not shut off the hot water.

I put everything back in the same order, as best I could tell following the parts diagram with the kit. Does any one have any suggestions?

Chris

Did you get the right cartridge? Moens are super simple.
Its hard to mess up this-maybe un clip and spin the cartridge 180 and retry.

Either you dropped a part of the new stem, (probably the rubber seal on the hot side), or it was missing.

I'm on the forum today because I am getting *only* hot water out of my 16-yo Moen kitchen faucet, regardless of level position. Does this mean I need a new cartridge?
