I am getting a frameless shower door installed. Is there a recommended gap between the top of the shower door and the header about the shower? Could you get away with 4" or is 12" more reasonable?

Thanks

If you have an exhaust fan installed directly over the shower, it doesn't matter. If not it will be a sauna with low visibility behind the glass. I'd go 12" if no exhaust. If exhausted be sure vent pipe exits the home completely...No dumping into the attic or terminating at a static roof vent.

Hey, wait a minute.
