I'd appreciate some advice with this. The location of the leak is indicated by the blue arrow. I'm hoping that I can just replace the valve itself, not the entire assembly. My plan would be to (obviously) turn off the water, unscrew/open valve (yellow arrow), which would likely require heat from a torch, take the valve to a plumbing store, and obtain the correct replacement. Would this work? My neighbor is saying that I should have a plumber come out, remove the entire assembly, and then use a torch and solder to install. TIA.
