hi all,

The outside in house main gate valve is broken and need to be replaced.
So I started this by getting new parts.
When I assemble everything I got leak from Telescopic Repair Coupling 1-1/4" that I got from osh

This's what I had before:

and how it's now

Those were my options and I used marker with red arrow

That telescopic is leaking - the inner o-ring isn't stopping water as expected

How I can fix this?

Thanks

Mike

Looks like you didn't clean the pipe from the ground that touches the "Telescopic Repair Coupling".

You should have prepared that surface smooth with wet sanding it down.

Purchase the materials once more, and try another attempt at the repair.

It's more work, but I would dig down to where the pipe goes horizontal. How much digging is hard to say, but with enough exposed, you might be able to cut off the 90 and then be able to glue things up with regular fittings. It just depends on what's down there.
