I replaced a Pfister Avante cartridge, exactly like this one:

But now I have a leak when I open the faucet, the water comes from the small hole in the center of the cartridge.
Is this normal? I don't think I had that before.
Should I try to close the hole?
This hole is used to screw the handle on it, but it goes all the way from one side of the cartridge to the other.
When I screw the handle, there is still water coming out.

It's a new cartridge, it looks really good, identical to the previous one.

by all means...if it looks so good, just keep it and stand there with your finger over the hole. Did you buy it at Home Depot??
