Kohler shower only cold water

Hello,
It looks like our shower gave up. It was installed about 10 years ago. Now, it seems to supply only cold water. What could it be? We have check the water supply and it is on but when we turn the handle (only one) up to the max, only cold water comes out. The shower is a Purist by Kohler. Any help would be appreciated!

Maybe it needs a new cartridge and pressure balance unit

In terms of life expectancy, especially a Kohler, your shower valve is in its infancy.
Suggest that you remove the cartridge and flush the hot water line well. Quite possible that some kind of debris is blocking the hot side. Examine the cartridge for possible build up of mineral deposits that may be interfering with the temperature balancing spool.
