I have a Kohler Forte two handle bathroom faucet. I installed this faucet about 5 years ago. One of the handle shutoffs is starting to leak where the handle meets the bonnet. I cannot remember how I installed this and I cannot find the installation instructions. This is installed on a granite counter top. If I remember correctly I had to silicone the base of the handles to the granite. How do I get the handles off? I assume that there is probably a stem cartridge of some kind that I will need to replace. Do I need to go underneath the sink and loosen the bolts holding the entire assembly to the counter top or can I remove the handles without removing the whole assembly? Thanks.

I'm assuming you have the widespread lav faucet similar to this one...

If it has been leaking and getting wet for a while....
All I can say is good luck!
If you do get it apart and fix the faucet make sure you grease the threads before putting it back together....

That was it. Thanks for the help. They came off easy. Now it doesn't appear to be leaking anymore. What is with that?
