Start with cleaning the aerator.

I have never done any cleaning of a tankless WH. Did your recirculating fluid leave residue in your bucket? It seems to me as if something pretty big would be clogging things. Is your other hot water working?

The kitchen and dishwasher are on the same 1/2" line, and will either have two shutoffs at the wall, or a double stop.
Start with the aerator on the faucet, and then move on from there. It could also be blocked where things reduce to the 3/8" supplies for the faucet and dishwasher.

We had a handyman come out and the dishwasher was clogged. He said next time not to use vinegar to flush the water heater, but to use CLR. CLR dissolves the build up so nothing will get clogged up, but vinegar won't. 3 gallons of CLR might be expensive. I wonder if we can use a combination of CLR and vinegar.

I would be thinking phosphoric acid. I don't know what dilution. I think the earlier CLR formula used phosphoric acid.
