Is it possible to repair a kink in flexible cooper? I have a kink in a section that is underground in a masterbath. The concrete in the old shower was jackhammered out in order to pour a new pan and floor. The kink is just below the ground where it bends to feed the faucets in the kitchen. This happened after I cleaned up some old plumbing. I think what happened is when I was putting a coupling on the 1/2 copper stub coming out of the ground into the stud wall I had to tap the coupling on and in doing so, the copper pipe kinked at the bend just below the floor.
If it is not repairable, are there any additional requirements for soldering a sleeve underground? I have always heard that it is not recommended to have any joints underground (for obvious reasons).
Thanks for any help
Neil
