Hi all! I've lurked these forums for a while, and just decided to make an account because I'll be doing a lot more home and boat stuff. Hopefully I can learn as much as I can.
Anyways, in my day job (Discount Lift Rentals) I rent out lift equipments to clients. In the past month especially, I've received a lot of calls about working heights. Keep in mind that the height you see listed on the website is not the working height. The working height is the listed height plus the height of the operator. So if you’re renting a 32’ scissor lift, and the person using the machine is 6’ tall, the working height would actually be about 38’ tall (maybe about 39-40’, depending on arm’s reach). I’ve seen too many people waste money by overestimating the amount of height they need. Avoid it!
