Is Clack tool useful for removing upper basket?

Got ahead of myself and installed a top basket onto a Nelson (Clack) control valve which is for Katalox and AIO3, and so needs instead a different adaptor which I need to install in place of said basket.

Am finding it hard to remove that basket. Have ordered the Clack tool in hopes of that being an aid.

Who here might have enjoyed success in removing said top basket from a Clack valve? Did you use the Clack tool? If not, then what was your method?

I am also unable to remove the upper basket. It won't twist. I tried pushing it in before twisting to no avail. How did you get it off?

Thanks. I managed to get it out by inserting a flathead screwdriver in one of the slots and gently pushed it out from there.
