We have a bathroom that has a shower, a sink, a toilet and a tub.
Once in a while, when my wife fills the tub, the water has a dark tint to it. When drained, it leaves a blackish oily film on the tub.
Strangely enough, this never happens in the shower/toilet/sink.
The only thing I can think of that is different with the tub is that it is the farthest, (but only by a few feet), from the pressure tank, and that its faucet is lopwer than the sink or the showerhead.
We are on a well.
Thanks,
A
