Nice clean install. I like the way that valve mounts, but I haven't heard good things about those americast tubs, and that outlet seems a bit precarious.....I'll assume it's legal.

Terry what do you use as a heat shield? There are no burn marks anywhere! Nice work.

If I had to complain about something I would think the plug could have been on the other side - further from the shower. Maybe one of those kid protection thing a ma bobs to cover the one exposed outlet. I see it's GFI and all but that close to the shower worries me some.

The recept is legal by NEC. Code says recepticles and switches can not be placed in the wet zone defined by the edges of tub vertically, or within a shower enclosure(unless its part of a listed assembly). Some want that changed, but some bathrooms are so small that a minimum distance requirement can't be agreed upon.

Most of my bathrooms have bidet seats that plug in. In Japan, this would be considered normal.

I don't have a heat shield for soldering. I've just been doing it a long time. Someone else did the tile, but I thought it looked nice with my plumbing. :)
