I recently purchased an in-line water filter for my ice maker because my ice tastes gross. I have 1/4" copper tubing coming from my kitchen floor (the cold water line) into the fridge and then 1/4" inch plastic tubing that runs from the bottom of my fridge up to my ice maker.

I don't know which line to cut in order to install my filter.

Do I cut the copper and then run plastic tubing from the copper to the filer?

Or, do I cut the plastic tubing that runs along the backside of my fridge? I can't figure it out.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jay.
